Types of Services

Sexual Harassment Prevention training

Beginning on October 9, 2018, every employer in New York State is required to provide employees with sexual harassment prevention training pursuant to Section 201-g of the Labor Law. The training must comply with the minimal New York State guidelines issued on October 2, 2018. The first training of all employees must occur before October 9, 2019 and must be conducted annually. New employees must receive training “as soon as possible” after their hiring.

Our company provides interactive sexual harassment prevention training that is compliant with the training guidelines issued by New York State on October 2, 2018. This interactive training can be done in-person, via webinars, by phone or one-on-one individually with your current or newly hired employees.

cultural competency training

Cultural Competency training introduces your employees to the ideas of workplace and customer diversity and linguistic competency. It shows employees how to use culturally competent principles and behaviors in the workplace and provides them with examples of best practices. Cultural competency training is currently mandated for healthcare providers in New York State. It can be custom-tailored to meet different needs within the healthcare industry or to meet the cultural competency training needs of companies that work in other industries.

Diversity training

Diversity training focuses on the prevention of discrimination that may occur at the workplace based on race, color, religion, sex and national origin.  Title VII of the Civil Rights Act prohibits employers from discriminating based on the above characteristics.  Diversity training also allows your employees to understand how discrimination may arise from conscious or unconscious stereotyping.  It teaches employees and managers how to recognize one’s biases in the workplace and prevent these from becoming a basis for employee, customer, or client discrimination.

diversity consulting

Our practice of diversity consulting focuses on helping your company to become a more productive place with the goal of diminishing possible incidents of biased behavior and discrimination. We can prepare a comprehensive analysis of the inclusiveness of your organizational culture and provide you with a custom-tailored set of recommendations for best practices for an inclusive environment that you may choose to implement in your company. We can also design instruments that will measure the level of inclusiveness that your employees use when they interact with customers and clients and provide recommendations based on best practices of other successful companies.
